"A riveting performance" - The Winnipeg Free Press
Ken Leishman (a.k.a. THE FLYING BANDIT) robbed banks, hot-wired planes, staged stunning jail breaks and stole $400,000 worth of gold from the Winnipeg International Airport in 1966 - the largest gold heist in Canadian history. The public adored him for his three-piece suit and smile. At one point, the gentleman bandit was on the front page of every paper in Canada, coast to coast. Now this fascinating figure is largely forgotten.
Playwright Lindsay Price and Actor Craig Mason bring Leishman to life and to the stage in THE FLYING BANDIT at the Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colborne. Mr. Mason plays over 25 roles in this all-Canadian tour-de-force.
Both Mr. Mason and Mrs. Price are new Niagara region residents, loving every second in Crystal Beach.
